This photo set demonstrates the improvement in the position and orientation of the base and tip of the nose that can be achieved with advanced cartilage grafting techniques, such as a columellar strut graft, as was used in this case. This septal cartilage graft supports and straightens the base and tip of the nose, and allows the foot plates of the lower nasal cartilages to be brough closer together. This photo set also demonstrates the position of the external nasal scar used for open rhinoplasty surgery.
